J and C play soccer and Bennett!!!

Cortland making a goal!
He would get SO proud of himself when he would make a goal!
Some drills!

She is actually pretty good! Who knew!
This fall the twins were able to play on the same soccer team. It was so darn cute. Jadeyn is funny when it comes to things like this, she is a little hestiant, but once she warms up which usually takes a while she is fine. She is actually pretty darn good too. She would take the ball all the way down the field and did really well. Cort is going to be our althlete I think. He is a natural. He loved playing soccer and it was just so cute that they got to play together. We had so much fun going to their games even though they were at 9 AM every Saturday. That is ok, it was fun.

Bennett played soccer again this year. This is his third year. This year they played on the big field. He is getting to be such a big boy. I cannot believe that he is old enough to play on a "real" sized field. He had a good time. We had a great coach and you really can't ask for more than that! He loves to play goalie as you can see.

Missing Disney...

I was reading a dear friends blog and they just recently went to Disney World and it made me miss it. Bad. Is that weird. Like it is home or something. Then I got to thinking about the fact that last year I never got around to posting pictures from Disney and I haven't posted them from this year either! That is sad. Simply sad. The thing is, I have SO many pictures and so many fond memories that it is hard to find the words to describe how fun it was and to dwindle down the thousands, yes thousands, of pictures. Anyway...

So I decided to look at my June's file of photos and I came
across this little gem. Oh my stinkin' cute.
STINKIN' cute! Love it!
This little princess was ready to call it a day. We left the resort to get to the park the minute it opened and we had a fun filled day enjoying every single minute we were there. We had a late night dinner in THE castle and left when the park closed. It was our first day and we were all eager to enjoy every minute of it. When we walked out to catch our bus back to the resort Jadeyn had more than she could handle, and we just could not hold her any longer. We were waiting for about 15 minutes and finally when we saw the bus coming we set her down to grab all of our things and turned around to this. So super sweet. We had people, probably around 10 other couples, come and take her picture. People for many years to come will look at their Disney photos and say, now who is this little cute blond girl, I don't recognize her! Another funny thing about this photo is she never ever sucked her thumb until that trip, I think when she gets really tired this is what she does. Did we never tire her out until the land of Mickey? She still will do it occasionally if she is really tired.
What a fun trip we had. Boy do we ever feel grateful to have gotten to go again. I wish we could go again. Tomorrow. Man, that would be fun. Maybe even more fun than the Halloween bash at our bank? For now I will just have to post some photos of our trip to tide me over for a while!

This boy

Conversation between Bennett and I this evening...

Me: Bennett you know you can wear those shoes to school if you like.

B: Ah, no thanks.

Me: Why they are not girly shoes.

B: Well you sure didn't get them from the men's aisle!

Then he got red in the face and said, great I bet this is going on the blog, I HATE THAT!

Side note...

Bennett and I have the same size foot at the moment. Actually his is a little bigger.

I was not serious about him wearing my shoes I was just seeing why he had them on.

He gets so embarrassed when I talk about him on the blog, but he does seem to like to read it!

PS When did he become someone who would shop in the "MENS" aisle?

You know the phrase

You know the phrase, time marches on. Well I think it should say TIME SPRINTS ON! Last night as I was trying to fall asleep which has been hard lately due to all my mouth pain and I could not stop thinking about how quickly time moves. I mean seriously, I have a third grader. How is that? He to me is still my baby. Yesterday morning when he was getting ready for school I was watching him and realized that he could pretty much get himself ready with out any help at all. He can prepare his breakfast, dress and pick out his outfit himself, get his backpack ready and get out the door with absolutely no help at all. That is so hard for me to think he is already at that age. As I was walking him out the door and telling him my usual, "Make good choices" which really is what this life is all about I was so happy to feel really confident that he does indeed make good choices.

Gosh, I just wish I could either push the pause button or maybe rewind? I don't know, all I know is my life with these 6 great people just goes by way too fast. I want to savour each moment. Even though it is moving at rapid speeds, at least this is the life I get to lead. Man am I blessed.
